HAPPY NEW YEAR!

As we dive headfirst into a new year, we want to give thanks to both our foundation sponsors and to our wonderful community for all your support in 2019, our launch year!

While last year brought with it many challenges for our region, now is the time to look forward to the possibilities 2020 might bring and with that in mind we approached our team of local businesses that support TFL, so we might help put faces to the locals that continue to share our mission to connect you with your community while sharing their thoughts and well wishes for you all.

We love creating, nurturing and celebrating the many ways we can connect in Townsville and surrounding areas and we thank you for being a part of the Townsville Family Life extended family.

May 2020 bring all you hope for and more!

Best wishes Always,

Amanda

Happy new year?  How does that make you feel?  Are you overwhelmed at the thought of what is to come this year?  Perhaps your children are starting prep or school?  Perhaps you are moving house or jobs.  Are you coping with family stress, illness, heartbreak?  Perhaps you are just feeling exhausted from Christmas and school holidays.  Whatever you feel now and whatever your story is, just remember that you will cope with whatever 2020 throws at you with the help of your support crew.  We learn from our challenges and will enjoy the precious moments – let’s do this! Happy NY everyone!

We would love to wish all our TFL members a Happy New Year and a wonderful start to this next decade! Life is full of ups and downs and it’s how we use our strength to overcome the challenges set before us as many of us have had to deal with this last year.

We are all thinking of our southern neighbours and the bushfires and I hope we can all find a way to help these people as they helped us.

May 2020 bring good health, happiness and more time with family for you all.

As storytellers we know that life is rarely “insta-perfect”.  A good story has peaks and valleys – a good story has conflict, hardship, joy and elation.  It can be full of beauty and full of mess. But a good story also has heroes, not the ones wearing capes but ones who overcome what is thrown at them. Those who choose compassion, who choose to see beauty even when there is pain, and who choose to love even when it’s hard.

So from our family to yours: may 2020 be full of love and beauty in both the peaks and the valleys of this story line we call life.

Piano with Sharon – Sharon Doyle

The start of a new year is a time for reflection. A time for thinking about the year that was. We should be thankful for everything that was good, and everything that wasn’t so good … even the absolute disasters – these experiences help us learn and grow. All of our achievements, choices and experiences in life, whether they turn out to be good or not so good, make us who we are today … make us who we will be in 2020.

Happy New Year!

Travel Associates Townsville your local family travel experts. (Willows, Castletown, Otto’s Market, Townsville City).

Well here we are, a new decade! Most of us are parents like you, we know the normality of a new year can be daunting and you don’t want to lose those family holiday feels.

So here’s what we’re doing about it… Before getting swallowed by the whirlwind of another chaotic year – take a moment to throw a little light on the horizon! Make a bucket list for the year ahead, be sure to include some relaxation time or even a quick getaway to look forward to. Then bring it on 2020!

The Elly Rose Adventures – Maggie O

Don’t let anybody tell you what you can or can’t do. It’s often a reflection of their own fears. It’s your journey, not theirs.

Go for it and dream big.
